The Smerillo Real Estate Group and Panthers Let's Eat are thrilled to host our second annual Blessing Basket drive to bring a beautiful Thanksgiving meal to families right here in Point Pleasant!

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, family, and good food. Point Pleasant has always been a generous and giving community—a quality I cherished growing up here and why we chose to raise our family here today.

As the holiday season approaches, we are aware that many families in our town are facing food insecurity. Your kindness and support can ensure they have a wonderful, abundant Thanksgiving dinner.

Can You Fill a Blessing Basket?
We're asking our community to come together! Gather your family, neighbors, co-workers, or church group to fill a basket (or two!) with all the fixings for a complete holiday meal.

Every basket will be gifted to a family in need within the 08742 zip code, thanks to our ongoing partnership with Panthers Let's Eat.

Basket Contents & Drop-Off
What to Include in Your Blessing Basket:
Please remember the contents should be non-perishable and enough to feed a family.

✅ Basket: A sturdy container like a laundry basket or other useful basket (no bags, please! 🧺)

✅ Canned vegetables (corn, green beans, etc.)

✅ Canned or jarred cranberry sauce

✅ Boxes of stuffing mix

✅ Boxes of mashed potatoes

✅ Can/packet/jars of gravy

✅ Can of cream of mushroom soup

✅ Canned/bagged French Fried Onions

✅ Box of muffin or biscuit mix

✅ Can of Sweet Potatoes/Yams (or a bag of marshmallows for topping, if space allows)

✅ Boxed Shelf-Stable Milk (to mix with the mashed potatoes and biscuit mix).

✅ A non-perishable dessert of your choosing

🌟 Optional Extras: Feel free to include any additional food items or non-food items you think would make the holiday easier or more complete for a family. You are also welcome to decorate the basket or add items to decorate their holiday table!
